Learning outcomes

General basic and advanced knowledge about dynamic modeling of mechanisms and vibration analysis.

Course contents

Rigid Body Dynamics. Natural and forced vibration of a s.d.o.f. system. Energy methods. Natural and forced vibration of lumped mass systems. Continuous systems: string, rods, beams, membrane. Elastodynamic modeling and simulation of elementary mechanisms. Finite Element Method. Vibration signal processing. Experimental modal analysis. Rotor dynamics.
