Umberto Meneghetti

He was born in Mantua in 1937. He graduated with a degree in engineering from the University of Bologna in the 1960/1961 academic year. He was a tenured assistant professor at the University of Bologna's Faculty of Engineering, then he was a full professorof of Mechanics applied to machines from November 1, 1976, to October 31, 2009. From November 1, 2009, to October 31, 2010, he was a professor with special status. He is currently a Professor emeritus of Mechanics applied to machines at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and Emeritus member of the Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Bologna.
