Learning outcomes
The teaching points to give to the students the essential instruments to go into the study and the research of the knowledge's branches of the Christian world, also in connection with the specific subject-matters that year by year will be considered. At the end of the course, on the bases of the instruments that have been given, the student is able to undrestand critically the problems related to the knowledge's branches of the Christian world, expecially about the architecture and the figurative arts.
Course contents
The teaching consists of two parts: the firt one specialized, whose subject is "Early christian Ravenna", and the other one of general character. The specialized course, provided by the professor, will try to introduce to the study and will start the examination of the early christian monuments of Ravenna and its area, setting them in the wide context of western and eastern architecture of the same period.
The general part will be provided by the student, against an introduction made by the professor.
