Learning outcomes
students are supposed to have a good knowledge of the history of German modern
literature, with particular reference to the relation between
literature and its historical, artistic and linguistic contexts.
Students are able to analyse and interpret a literary text.
Course contents
art and artists in german literature from 1780 to the
beginning of the xx century. through close readings, the course will provide the
instruments to reflect on the texts’ implicit
poetic.
a knowledge of German literature from 1770 till 1900 is
required.
students are strongly advised to read the main texts before the
beginning of the course.
