"Ontologies of art".
Title of the module in Philosophical Aesthetics (1): "The Sirens'
singing. On a negative ontology of aesthetic objects".
Contents of the module:
- Horkheimer-Adorno, Dialectic of Enlightenment: interpretation of the homeric episode of the Sirens.
- Homer, Odyssey: the Siren episode.
- Nietzsche, Kafka, Benjamin, Jauss: interpretations of the Siren episode.
