Learning outcomes

The purpose of this Course id to addres the chemical basis of biological molecules.

Course contents

Reactive chemical groups.

The solutions: water, colligative properties, osmotic pressure.

Ionization, acids and bases, buffers.

Aminoacids: chemical properties.

Carbohyidrates: classification and  chemical properties.

Lipids: classification and  chemical properties.

Nucleotides and nucleis acids: structure, chemical properties and biological functions.
