Learning outcomes
The course provides the knowledge on functional and decorative cosmetics, the raw materials and formulation of traditional and innovative products.
Course contents
Fundamental of skin anatomy and physiology. Structure and function
of skin. Keratinization. Sebaceous glands and sebum. Sweat gland
and perspiration. Ultraviolet light and skin. Ageing of skin.
Functional products. Cleansers, Moisturizers, Anti-ageing,
Anti-acne, Antiperspirants, Deodorants, Sunscreens, Hair
conditioners, Hair permanent waving, Hair dyes.
Decorative products.
Fundamental of skin permeation.
