Mission

The division’s mission is to develop and manage procurement processes for goods and services to meet University requirements, defining common guidelines for all organisational entities to ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Code and providing university-wide coordination for special regulations and expenditure streamlining. Furthermore, the division manages tender procedures for works, supplies and services, alongside the porter service contract. It also oversees the imprest fund, the purchase of goods and services for general administration, and postal services.

Main activities

  • Developing and managing procurement processes for supplies and services to meet the University's requirements, and establishing common guidelines for all the University’s organisational entities to oversee compliance with the Public Procurement Code, ensuring a coordination function for the University on the implementation of special regulations governing procurement and on expenditure streamlining measures for the procurement of goods and services.
  • Managing tender procedures for works, supplies and services through the oversight of tender procedures and contract execution for the procurement of goods and services, including related procedures and support for judicial and extra-judicial dispute resolution procedures.
  • Managing the imprest fund, the acquisition of goods and services for the general administration's requirements, and postal services.
  • Overseeing procurement awards for goods and services within the division's remit, overseeing sector-specific regulations and formulating related guidelines, including the legal and organisational impact analysis of procurement regulations.
  • Overseeing contracts for works and services relating to architecture and engineering in order to ensure the construction, restoration and maintenance of building works required for and instrumental to the University's official activities.
  • Overseeing the simplification and streamlining of procurement for goods and services, also in support of planning.
  • Managing University framework agreements connected with each division's responsibilities.
  • Managing the porter service contract, which includes the assessment of access control requirements for buildings and verification of proper service delivery.
  • Managing activities connected with administrative processes for the procurement of goods and services for space management, active contractual arrangements, planning processes, and regulatory compliance.
