Mission
The division’s mission is to implement the University's building development plans and ensure the enhancement of real estate assets with a view to energy efficiency and sustainability. The division also ensures the management of maintenance work for all University facilities, providing local oversight through specific logistics hubs and liaising with the relevant campus branch for operational coordination within the Romagna area. Furthermore, it oversees, organises, and manages the main operating services for University spaces through centralised contracts, with the exception of security and remote surveillance.
Main activities
- Coordinating, designing, and supervising building works, including sports infrastructure, through quality processes and project management practices.
- Liaising with the relevant campus branch to identify needs and plan maintenance for all organisational entities operating at the campus branches.
- Liaising with the relevant campus branch for the operational coordination of building works.
- Identifying maintenance needs and requests and providing local oversight of services for the ordinary operation of spaces (with the exception of reception services), acting as a link with the University’s organisational entities.
- Managing the administrative and accounting aspects of procedures below the EU threshold for works, engineering and architecture services, as well as services and supplies related to works.
- Planning and executing building investments, services, and maintenance work.
- Carrying out activities related to the functions provided for by legislation for the Mobility Manager and the Energy Manager.
- Managing the digital building file in an integrated manner, in coordination with the Assets division.
- Coordinating sustainability and energy-saving actions.
- Managing University utilities, maintaining an inventory of existing contracts and supply points, monitoring consumption, ensuring correct service execution, and formulating proposals for the development of strategic energy-saving plans.
- Managing maintenance work for lift systems and green areas, restoring buildings following graphic vandalism, restoring furniture, and emergency intervention activities for the protection of people and/or property.
- Managing the University's main operating service contracts (e.g. ordinary and extraordinary cleaning services, pest control services), from planning and identifying needs to verifying on-site execution to ensure the usability and liveability of spaces.
- Overseeing the management control process and accounting monitoring of relevant contracts, in coordination with the division responsible for contract management and the finance and accounting division.
- Managing the accounting and management control aspects of all processes, deeds, contracts, and payments relating to the management of services and spaces, with the exception of security and remote surveillance, as well as the recovery or payment of refunds for utilities and/or other management costs to third parties.
