Programme profile

This degree programme is particularly aimed at providing tools for interpreting economic phenomena.This means familiarity with state-of-the-art theories, quantitative analysistechniques and institutional regulations. To this end the programme will offera broad curriculum covering a diversified, relevant core of economic disciplinesand the fundamental methodological aspects of law, economic history andpolitical science.

Economic disciplinesare the core disciplines and will play a major role in providing students withthe theoretical and analytical tools to understand the functioning of markets,businesses and financial institutions, as well as the role of economic policyand the way it affects the economic systems and the choices made by economicagents.

A large part of theCourse will be devoted to becoming acquainted with the methodological toolsneeded for the quantitative analysis of economic phenomena, with an emphasisnot only on measurement but also on the economic forecast techniques in supportof the decisions made by businesses and financial operators.

Students will alsohave elective options enabling them to deepen their expertise in law andpolitical science as well as in specific topics of international, monetary,environmental and labour economics.
