Course Unit Page

Academic Year 2022/2023

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will have acquired theoretical knowledge and skills related to the ability to distinguish association relationships between phenomena and cause-effect relationships. She/he will have learned what are the main tools for quantifying cause-and-effect relationships from data, also through examples based on experimental and observational data, and how these tools can be used to inform public policy choices. At the end of the course, the student will be able to identify what data are necessary to answer policy questions, how it is appropriate to process them and what are the limits and attentions that must be put to interpret them.
