Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student knows the public legal regulations of the Digital Single Market at European level, as well as the primary and secondary national legislation on digital technologies. during the course, attention will be paid to the impact that technological innovation produces on the financial market (Financial Technologies - Fintech) and to the new ways of regulating the banking and financial market, as well as to the ways in which the public regulator deals with the issue of technologies in support of the growth of SMEs.
Course contents
General introduction on the European legal framework for the digital single market and on its transposition at national level.
Study of the public regulation of the evolution of the banking and financial market in connection with the evolution of digital technologies. The course will analyze the impact that the digital sector generates on businesses and on the market with particular reference to SMEs.
Last lectures will be dedicated to paper presentation.

The final grade will be based upon:
30% final exam

20% class participation
Evaluation criteria:
18-23: the student has sufficient preparation and analytical skills, spread however, over just few topics taught in the course, the overall jargon is correct
24-27: the student shows and adequate preparation at a technical level with some doubts over the topics. Good, yet not to articulate analytical skills with the use of a correct jargon
28-30: Great knowledge about most of the topics taught in the course, good critical and analytical skills, good usage of the specific jargon
30L: excellent and in depth knowledge of all the topics in the course, excellent critical and analytical skills, excellent usage of specific jargon.
