Learning outcomes
At the end of the seminar, the student improves the knowledge of the Italian grammar. The student obtains the necessary linguistic abilities to understand and to analyze complex texts, as literary texts and related to the specialistic bibliographies about disciplinary area of the courses. The student is able to create texts in order to expose complex contents
Course contents
The class will be structured around the following activities:
- analysis of Italian language through the study of literary texts and essays
- introduction to the reading of main bibliography of the courses in the first year of IS
- produce their own texts and cultural and professional projects
- commentaries and analysis of academic texts; book, film, and art exhibition reviews and descriptions
- focus on oral exposure aimed the presentation of cultural projects, events, shows and exhibits

Teaching methods
Traditional lectures; active participation is required also to workshops, discussions, and group presentations.
Reading and analysis of literary works, newspaper articles, book, film, and art exhibition reviews and descriptions.
If it's possible, an educational visit in Bologna will be organized, to know directly some example of italian culture.
Assessment methods
Every week, students will be asked to actively discuss the readings that will be regularly posted on the moodle platform and/or assigned during classes. It's necessary to work every week.
