Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student is able to use the tools of personnel management and human resource management to increase professional standards with a view to continuous improvement in performance quality.

Course contents

DESIGN PATH:

Project management in health care : principles of design in Maternal and Child Area of paths and implementation of organizational models.

Definition of project and phases of a project: operational tools - application of the project and simulations in the classroom of the phases of detection of needs and criticality to the functionality consistent with the regulations and care needs in the maternal and child area.

The organizational models: general principles.
International, national and local (regional area) obstetrical organizational models.
Midwifery model with autonomous management of the Physiological Birth Path and Functional Areas in the Physiological Birth Path (BRO)
One to one model: comparability and applicability.
Midwife-led continuity model.
Caseload Midwifery Model.
Midwifery Partnership Model
Obstetric Outpatient Day Service (DSA2): ensuring effective assessment in complex cases while avoiding inappropriate hospitalizations.

Functional areas managed by midwives: from the Anglo-Saxon Free-standing Units and Along-side Units models to the situation in Italy.
