66196 - Chemical Processes with Low Environmental Impact M

Academic Year 2021/2022

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Industrial Chemistry (cod. 0884)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to apply the theoretical basis for the development of new chemical processes, or for the improvement of existing process technologies, in order to reduce the environmental impact and to improve safety.

Will have acquired the skills related to environmental impact assessment of chemical reactions, to the design of cleaner synthetic routes, with minimal use of toxic reagents, intermediates or catalysts.

Will know examples of alternative production processes, starting from renewable raw materials, with maximum atomic efficiency, and with co-production of minimum waste and by-products.
