Learning outcomes

At the end of the class, students will have a thorough view of the main directions of current research in economics. It will have attained the ability to develop critical and original views on both empirical and theoretical directions of research.

Course contents

Series of research seminars in all fields of Economics held weekly over the a.y. by invited speakers at the Department of Economics.  Online seminars offerd by national and international research institutions might be included, upon suggestions or approval by the Degree Coordinator.

Assessment methods

Short report on a selection of the seminars attended. The report will provide a summary and a synthetic critical assessment of the methods and results of the papers presented in the selected seminars. Specific indication on the number of seminars to be attended and included in the report will be provided by the Degree Programme.
