Cultural officers acquire, assess and guarantee the conservation of artefacts of social, historical, cultural and artistic value and works of art, also contributing to their promotion.
Cultural officers:
- Participate in the organisation and promotion of cultural institutions and activities (events, museums, exhibitions);
- Draft and coordinate projects, activities and investigations in linguistic and cultural sectors within integration and linguistic policies, especially at a European level;

Editors apply their linguistic knowledge to create and/or critically revise written, audiovisual and multimedia texts for publication.
Editors:
- Perform a range of activities in the publishing sector;
- Produce information and advertising texts for goods and services for publication and broadcasting by various means;
- Write professionally at all levels in the journalism, editorial and advertising fields;
- Provide technical consulting for the production of manuals, guides, technical annexes, sheets, information texts and instruction booklets for consumer goods, machinery and equipment.

Lexicographers conduct research and studies into grammar and words, investigating the interactions between linguistics and ICT.
Lexicographers:
- Coordinate projects and activities in the grammar and lexicon sectors;
- Collaborate in the compilation of dictionaries and works with general vocabulary contents, conducting technical research and investigations and compiling headwords and entries;
- Work in IT-linguistic activities, particularly concerning the processing of empirical data.
