Postgraduate vocational training programmes in Advanced reproductive biotechnologies in veterinary medicine - 6042

Overview: The objective of this course is to develop and update basic and advanced knowledge of the veterinarian, the tecnician specialist in animal production, the biologist and the biotechnologist in the field of advanced semen analysis and manipulation of gametes, with particular attention to the following thematic areas: advanced spermiogram through the use of computerized systems for the determination of the concentration and motility; microscopic evaluation of sperm morphology; flow cytometric analysis; in vitro embryo production using the bovine species as a model (ex vivo collection, in vitro maturation, conventional in vitro fertilization, in vitro culture of embryos).

Admission qualifications: -Master degrees awarded pursuant to Ministerial Decree 270/04 (or single or second cicle degrees awarded under the degree programme systems in force prior to Ministerial Decree DM 509/99) in the following disciplinary areas/degree programme classes: LM-42 Veterinary Medicine (47/S Veterinary medicine) LM-9 Medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical biotechnologies (9/S Medical, veterinary and pharmaceutical biotechnologies); LM-86 Zootechnical sciences and animal technologies (79/S Agrozootechnical sciences and technologies) LM-6 Biology (6/S Biology);
-Two-year Master degrees awarded abroad in the above-said disciplinary areas and valid for admission to the programme.
-Knowledge of English language, assessed during the selection.
