Learning outcomes
The workshops in this group provide students with skills in communication, critical reading, and both academic and public-facing writing. Through participation in workshop activities, students will develop transferable skills in organising and critically analysing complex information and subsequently reworking it in oral and written form. The activities carried out during the workshops will enable students to improve the effectiveness of their oral and written communication and to acquire the tools needed to independently and critically evaluate texts, documents, and information.
Course contents
The workshop is preparatory to the writing of dissertations and theses in the humanities and political history. There will be exercises in the comprehension of scientific texts, summarising, bibliographic research, fact checking and argumentative writing. In addition, each participant will have to develop in written form (max. 12,000 characters) a humanistic theme agreed with the lecturer.

The study of general texts is not required.

Teaching methods
Lectures, seminars, practical exercises. All intermediate work will be evaluated.
Assessment methods
In addition to the intermediate exercises carried out during the lectures and student presentations, at the end of the course each participant will submit a paper of a maximum of 12,000 characters that develops in written and organised form a humanistic or historical-political topic agreed upon with the lecturer.
