Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will understand the institutional and financial framework of European funding programs and be able to critically analyze calls for proposals. They will acquire the ability to design coherent project applications, structure work packages, and prepare budgets aligned with EU requirements. Students will develop skills in project planning, monitoring, and reporting using professional management tools. They will also gain competence in coordinating international partnerships and communicating effectively across multicultural teams. Finally, they will be able to evaluate the sustainability, ethical implications, and social impact of EU-funded initiatives.

Readings/Bibliography

Teaching materials consist of lecture slides, documents discussed in class, and selected institutional materials. All materials will be made available on the Virtuale platform.

Teaching methods

The course will combine lectures, classroom discussions, and group activities. Students will work collaboratively to develop a project proposal, which will be presented and discussed in class.

Assessment methods

Assessment is divided into two parts:

• the preparation of a project proposal in groups during the course and its brief presentation in the final class, for a maximum of 15 points;
• an individual written examination, focusing both on the project proposal and on the related theoretical concepts covered during the course, for a maximum of 15 points.

The final grade is the sum of the scores obtained in the two components. Honours will be awarded to students who present an excellent project proposal and demonstrate an equally excellent command of both its practical and theoretical aspects during the oral examination.

In accordance with university regulations, each student has the right to reject a grade equal to or higher than 18/30 and retake the exam. However, this option can be exercised only once.
