Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will possess the prerequisites, references, and methods to acquire concrete knowledge of Italy's geology and its impact on people's lives and the environment in which they live, with particular attention to resources, climate, and risks. Students will be able to: - reconstruct the geological history of Italy in the Mediterranean; - understand the country's main geological formations, organized by genetic environments and structural zones; - identify the chronology, style, and areal distribution of formations in the country, as a tool for probabilistic forecasting of geological hazards.
