Course contents
The workshop focuses on the analysis of self-assessment tools aimed at fostering self-reflection and improvement processes among adult learners, with a focus on strategic competences for lifelong learning and professional practice.
In particular, through the proposed contents and activities, the workshop aims to promote:
- reflection on adult learning processes and on the concept of the adult as a self-directed learner;
- reflection on strategic competences that are essential to effectively addressing learning and work-related situations, as well as for managing the ongoing process of personal and professional development from a lifelong learning perspective;
- analysis of specific standardized tools for the self-assessment of these strategic competences;
- acquisition of skills related to the use of these tools, from their administration to the analysis and feedback of results.
The workshop will also examine and discuss the implications of using these tools for the design of training interventions aimed at enhancing strategic competences.

Materials and bibliographical references will be provided during the workshop.
Teaching methods
Active participation by students will be encouraged throughout the workshop through discussions and group activities.
Assessment methods
Assessment will be based on students’ level of participation and on the analysis of of the work produced as part of the workshop.
Teaching tools
Slides, materials prepared for the workshop activities, Microsoft Excel, and the Virtuale platform.
Students will be enrolled on the Virtuale platform (https://virtuale.unibo.it/) by the lecturer at the beginning of the workshop.
