95467 - ESERCITAZIONE DI LINGUA CINESE (LM) - A

Academic Year 2026/2027

Course contents

Language practice sessions form an integral part of the Chinese Language (LM) course and aim to develop reading, comprehension and oral production skills through the analysis of contemporary Chinese fiction and non-fiction texts.

Particular attention will be paid to reading aloud, global and analytical comprehension of texts, vocabulary acquisition, the rephrasing of content and its oral presentation in Chinese. The selected texts will also serve as a starting point for exploring cultural and linguistic aspects of contemporary China and for consolidating the communication skills required at an advanced level.

The seminars complement the Chinese Language (LM) course, in which the same linguistic areas are explored in greater depth from the perspective of grammatical analysis, textual organisation and written production.

Readings/Bibliography

The course materials will be made available via the Virtuale platform. They will include a selection of narrative and non-fiction texts from contemporary Chinese literature, chosen in line with the course’s linguistic and communicative objectives.

N.B. For all modules:

Materials discussed during lectures and published on the course’s online platform form an integral part of the reading list. The relevant page numbers in the assigned texts will be indicated on the online platform at the start of the course. The assigned texts are required for passing the final assessment, even for students who are unable to attend lectures. Lecturers are available to provide further clarification on the syllabus during their office hours.

Teaching methods

The lesson is conducted in Chinese and takes an interactive approach. Students are encouraged to read the text in advance; it is published on Virtuale, with all digital resources available. In class, students will be encouraged to ask questions about any points or passages in the text they find unclear; the content of the text will be discussed in class.

Assessment methods

Please refer to the relevant section of the Chinese Language (LM) course.
