Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will: - possess the basic analytical tools for understanding the behavior of the economic system as a whole, - understand the fundamental theoretical models of macroeconomics and the empirical evidence supporting their ability to interpret economic reality, - be able to apply theoretical models to solve macroeconomic problems, - understand the relevant aspects of the current political debate on major economic issues (stabilization policies, limits to growth, international constraints), - be able to evaluate the benefits and costs of economic policy measures.

Final and midterm written exams, at the end of the first and second modules.
The grade for each exam is expressed in thirtieths. The exam consists of closed and open-ended questions.
Each midterm exam accounts for 1/2 of the overall grade.
Written exams are graded according to the following scale:
• Insufficient preparation and analytical skills: failed.
• Sufficient preparation and analytical skills, correctly expressed: 18-22
• Adequate preparation, sufficient analytical skills, although not particularly detailed, correctly expressed: 23-26.
• In-depth knowledge of the topics covered in the course, good analytical and critical thinking skills, mastery of specific terminology: 27-29.
• More than in-depth knowledge of the topics covered in the course, more than good critical analysis and linking skills, excellent mastery of specific terminology: 30-30L.
Books, notes, or digital or electronic devices are not allowed during the exam.

Grades are published and recorded through AlmaEsami. Requests to view the exam paper and to address any other issues should be sent via email to the instructor.
A student who receives a positive grade (higher than 18/30) may refuse the grade once, providing written notification at least two days before the date the written exam results are recorded.
Rejected grades are recorded according to the procedures established by the University.
