Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with useful knowledge to understand and master the structure of the construction site. Starting from the relevant regulatory framework, students will acquire knowledge regarding construction site setup, work phase scheduling, and the interaction between the different contractors performing the works.
The course enables students to understand the various roles within the construction site and the key figures managing it, both in the preliminary site planning phases and in the purely operational phases. Each role is outlined with reference to both current industry regulations and actual construction site practice.
By way of non-limiting example, the course covers figures such as the Designer, the Works Director (Site Manager), and the Safety Coordinator, analyzing both their legal definitions and their actual duties throughout the various stages of site management.
