Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with the fundamental scientific knowledge required to understand how the central and peripheral nervous systems control voluntary movement and muscle strength under physiological conditions. Consequently, the course will cover the most common neurological disorders characterized by movement impairment, as well as the role of physical exercise in treating and preventing the major complications associated with these conditions. Furthermore, the course will equip students with the tools to appreciate the immense potential for future research into the therapeutic role of physical exercise in the context of rare neurological diseases.

Notes of anatomy of central and perypheral nervous systems.
Nerurologica examination.
Motor system.
Sensory system.
Systems that control balance and coordination.
Diseases of pyramidal and extrapyramidal systems.
Disesases of neuromuscular junction, peripheral nerves and muscle.
Neurological traumatic diseases.
Dementia.
Applications of physical exercise in the neurological diseases treated.
