Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, the student knows the rules relating to animal welfare and protection, the legal elements for the exercise of medico-legal activities by the veterinarian, as well as the specific regulatory sources concerning the veterinary profession. In particular, the student: knows the main topics concerning Animal Protection Law (farming, transport, slaughtering, etc.) at European and national level; is able to operate in compliance with current regulations within public bodies and enterprises, and in the exercise of his profession; is able to select and to apply the correct rules.

Animal Law and Veterinary Legislation
- The buying and selling of animals and the actions to guarantee of the buyer
- Liability for damage caused by animals
- The Criminal Code and offences related to the abuse of animals

- The protection of animals in slaughterhouses
