Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the legal and operational instruments governing business crisis and insolvency, with the objective of ensuring comprehensive professional training for future Chartered Accountants and Business Consultants. In particular, the course prepares students to undertake professional roles such as independent expert responsible for the certification of restructuring plans, judicial liquidator in judicial liquidation proceedings, and expert involved in the various procedures governed by the Italian Business Crisis and Insolvency Code.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- identify and select the most appropriate crisis management or insolvency procedure applicable to a business experiencing financial distress;
- analyse complex legal and business issues arising from corporate crisis situations and develop appropriate solutions from the perspective of an internal corporate adviser;
- provide professional advice to businesses with respect to the legal, financial, and organisational issues arising from their involvement in crisis management and insolvency proceedings, both as debtors and as creditors;
- operate effectively within judicial proceedings, acting as judicial liquidators in judicial liquidation procedures or as professionals involved in alternative business restructuring and crisis management procedures.
