73492 - Mechanical Technology M

Academic Year 2026/2027

  • Teaching Mode: In-person learning (entirely or partially)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Chemical and Process Engineering (cod. 6706)

Learning outcomes

Students acquire knowledge of the manufacturing technologies used for the production of equipment for the chemical industry, with particular emphasis on plastic deformation processes such as rolling and forming. The course also covers the main autogenous welding processes, with a particular focus on electric arc welding and laser welding technologies.

Assessment methods

The final examination consists of a written test comprising 16 True/False multiple-choice questions covering all the topics of the course. The total score for the examination is 32 points. The final grade is calculated based on this score, with a maximum grade of 30/30 with honors (30 cum laude).During the examination, the use of any electronic device (including smartphones, smartwatches, laptops, tablets, etc.) or printed material (such as formula sheets, lecture slides, notes, handouts, or textbooks) is strictly prohibited. The use of any form of artificial intelligence is also not permitted.Any use of the aforementioned resources constitutes a violation of academic integrity and will be treated accordingly.

Teaching tools

During the lectures, a variety of educational videos will be presented to provide a clearer understanding of the operating principles and applications of the manufacturing processes covered in the course.
