Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the educational activities, students will have acquired knowledge that integrates and complements the content of the related courses, with particular focus on specific and/or advanced aspects of nursing care, health education, and healthcare organisation.

Course contents

Learning objectives

The aim is to provide students with the opportunity to explore topics of particular interest and relevance to clinical practice, in relation to the theoretical contents included in the curriculum for the specific year of study.

Seminars

The following topics are addressed during the seminars:

  • Substance use disorders and addictions.
  • New forms of poverty and prison settings.
  • Additional precautions for the prevention and control of respiratory infections.
  • Organisation of the territorial emergency care system.
  • Nursing care for the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Women victims of violence: the nurse’s role and support network.
  • Forensic nursing.
  • Transitional care.

Attendance at seminars is compulsory.

Readings/Bibliography

Educational materials provided by the expert instructors involved in the seminars.

Teaching methods

In-person classroom sessions with experts. Activities will be conducted using the following methods:

  • Traditional Lecture
  • Video screenings
  • Expert-led discussion on case studies or illustrative scenarios

Assessment methods

Seminar contents will be assessed on a pass/fail basis as required by the Degree Programme Regulations and form an integral part of the student's preparation.Students will be required to answer specific multiple-choice questions on the seminar contents, which will be included in the "Laboratorio di Cure fondamentali III" pass/fail assessment.
