Course contents
LETTERS, SYLLABLES, ALPHABETS
The presentation of the course, theoretical framework and basic coordinates will constitute the first part of the first meeting; the requirements for writing the final paper will also be made explicit there. The second part of the first meeting and the entire second meeting, on the other hand, will be devoted to the conduct of the activities, which will always be presented through the reading of model texts and/or papers produced by the primary classes. These will be mainly ludolinguistic activities that find in letters and syllables the fundamental basic unit. In such experiments, depending on the activities, students will work individually or in small groups on the teacher's instructions. All exercises and activities carried out in class during the workshop may be read and shared aloud, on a voluntary basis and in order to stimulate discussion and implement exchange, as well as to provide a practical and concrete exemplification for conducting similar activities at school.
Readings/Bibliography
The bibliography will be provided during the workshop and will cover both the theoretical framework and the proposed stimulus texts.
Teaching methods
The workshop will be conducted by referring to a series of slides, both for the theoretical part and for the presentation of the activities; the exercises will be carried out almost entirely in writing; the choice of medium (paper or digital) is left to the free initiative of the students.
Assessment methods
For evaluation purposes, in addition to attention and participation in class, it's required the submission of a paper of which the following characteristics will be taken into consideration:
- ability to make connections or insights with theoretical references and previously acquired knowledge;
- reworking of content and stimuli received;
- ability to expound clearly and correctly;
- spelling, syntax and register used.
The above-mentioned work must be delivered within 15 days of the end of the laboratory; the evaluation, expressed with a grade equivalent to -1, 0 or +1, will be published in the Notices section approximately one month after the end of the workshop itself.
As this is a reflective assignment involving the critical processing of course content and teaching methods, the use of AI to produce the written text is not permitted.
Please note that submitting the assignment by the specified deadline is mandatory in order to successfully complete the workshop and be eligible to take the examination.
Teaching tools
The texts analyzed will be made available to students as well as the complete bibliography.
Given the workshop mode and the necessary reworking of the content presented,a set of slide will be shared.
