Learning outcomes

The student possess the knowledge to taking care of the person/family within the priority health problems of the medical area. Identifies, plans and evaluates healthcare interventions and collaborates with other professional figures in diagnostic-therapeutic paths.

Course contents

NURSING CARE FOR PERSON WITH CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE

• Hypertension
• Ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction
• Heart failure

NURSING CARE FOR PERSON WITH CEREBROVASCULAR DISEASE

• Transient ischemic attack (TIA), ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke
• Epilepsy

NURSING CARE FOR PERSON WITH RESPIRATORY DISEASE

• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Pulmonary embolism
• Pneumonia

NURSING CARE FOR PERSON WITH ENDOCRINE AND METABOLIC DISEASE

• Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus
  

NURSING CARE FOR THE PERSON WITH RENAL DISEASE

• Acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD)

NURSING CARE FOR THE PERSON WITH HEMATOLOGIC AND ONCOLOGIC DISEASE

• Leukemia/Lymphoma/Multiple myeloma
• Handling and administration of chemotherapy drugs

Assessment methods

The learning assessment method is divided into two tests:

- Written test with 15 multiple choice questions for access to the oral test. The test is considered passed with a 12/15 score.

- Oral test aimed at evaluating the degree of the contents.
