Learning outcomes
At the end of the module, the student will have knowledge of the epistemological aspects of nursing, the main models and theories of care, as well as the disciplinary tools and methods of application. They will be familiar with the evolution of the professionalization process, the ethical, deontological, and legislative aspects relevant to professional practice, and the purpose and organization of the National Health System.

Metaparadigm of nursing. Analysis and main contents of some theoretical models: V. Henderson, M. Gordon, L.J. Carpenito; D. Orem.

Assessment methods
The assessment consists of a written test with 31 short open-ended questions and an oral exam, which can be taken after correctly answering at least 18 questions.
The oral exam particularly focuses on testing nursing theories/models, the code of ethics, and the rules of the profession.
The evaluation is given as follows:
Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course, analytical skills that only emerge with the help of the teacher, overall correct but poor language expression → sufficient;
Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course, analytical and linking skills that only emerge with the help of the teacher, correct language expression → fair;
Preparation on a wide number of topics covered in the course, analytical and linking skills that only emerge with the help of the teacher, correct language expression → good;
Preparation on a wide number of topics covered in the course, ability to analyze and make connections, mastery of language → very good;
Basically thorough preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make independent critical analysis and connections, full mastery of specific terminology, and ability to argue and self-reflect → excellent.
The overall assessment of the CI will come from the weighted average of the individual judgments.
