Learning outcomes

The acquisition of the institutional notions proper to administrative law, namely: the reasons for the existence of public power and its subjection to legal rules; the law of public administrations; administrative organisation in the articulations of central government and local autonomies; the functional moment of administrative action and its pathology; the institutes of administrative justice. All this also with reference to the most innovative and controversial issues of this law, through the highlighting of the various doctrinal orientations and the analysis of case law.

The exam is oral and in italian languages. The Professor will give directions for alternative modality just for partecipant students.

Assessment methods

The course will cover the entire academic year and for students who will satisfy the attendance requirements it will be possible to take the exam in all sessions starting from May.

The interview will focus on the topics indicated in the "Course contents" section.

The evaluation of the test will be carried out taking into consideration:

- The knowledge of institutional profiles

- The ability to analyze the jurisprudential and doctrinal guidelines

- The ability to make connections between the different parts of the program

- The ability to develop critical arguments

- The articulation of the exposure

- The accuracy of the exposure.

The following criteria will be used to assign the final mark (that will be out of 30/30):

• knowledge of a very limited number of topics, extensive support by the interviewer to address and answer the questions, basic yet appropriate language  18-19/30;
• knowledge of a limited number of topics, ability to autonomously address basic legal problems, use of appropriate language → 20-24/30;
• comprehensive knowledge of the programme, ability to autonomously and critically analyse legal problems, use of specific terminology → 25-29/30;

• extensive knowledge of the programme, ability to reason autonomously and critically analyse legal problems, make connections between the topics, ability to master the specific terminology and ability to present legal arguments. → 30-30L/30.

Teaching tools

Students with learning disorders and/or temporary or permanent disabilities: please contact the office responsible (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students) as soon as possible so that they can propose acceptable adjustments. The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, taking into account the teaching objectives.
