Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop, the student: - knows how to apply what was covered in the integrated course within a simulated learning environment; - knows how to reflect critically in a group on the proposed topics.

Course contents

Workshop Title

From illustrated sound books to digital storytelling

 The workshop will focus on arts education in nursery and primary schools. Multimedia and multisensory approaches will be explored, aimed at understanding, reinterpreting and producing different forms of expression. Storytelling and digital storytelling will serve as educational and teaching strategies for conveying artistic content, including through the use of applications and tools based on artificial intelligence. Sound picture books will be used as literary and artistic works from which to draw inspiration for the creation of creative and multimodal projects. Particular emphasis will be placed on the illustrations in the sound picture books and on the concept of synaesthesia.

Assessment methods

The workshop involves the creation of a product to be presented and delivered to the teacher. Further instructions will be provided during the workshop.
The workshop evaluation includes four judgments: failed (workshop to be repeated); sufficient (-1); good (0); excellent (+1).
The workshop evaluation will be integrated into the exam grade of the Iconography and Iconology course.
Please remember that to take the exam of iconology and iconography it is necessary to first attend the workshop.
