Learning outcomes

At the end of the internship the student will have the knowledge relating to the management of different types of pathologies (from assessment to treatment). He also will have the skills necessary to formulate a treatment plan and will be able manage counseling sessions in indipendent way, he will be able to observe and evaluate subjects belonging to different fields and to design an adequate specific treatment plan. He also demonstrates clinical reasoning skills, problem solving and assertive communication skills aimed at achieving rehabilitation objectives.

 

Course contents

He also possesses the skills necessary to formulate a treatment plan and is able to independently manage counseling sessions, is able to observe and evaluate subjects belonging to different fields and to design an adequate specific treatment plan. He also demonstrates clinical reasoning skills, problem solving and assertive communication skills aimed at achieving rehabilitation objectives.

 

Teaching methods

Practical internship at locations determined during preliminary meetings with the RADP and Academic Tutor; briefings, debriefings, role-playing, and activities supplementing the internship

Assessment methods

The examination consists of a written test—serving as a prerequisite for the oral exam—and an oral discussion of a clinical case (in the fields of Child Neuropsychiatry, ENT, or Rehabilitation Medicine), graded on a scale of thirty. The examination board will evaluate the student's internship experience and submitted assignments based on quality and the achievement of objectives.
