Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student has the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of the concepts of health and need, the phases of the care process, the evaluiation of vital signs, and the care measures to be adopted in emergency situations.

Course contents

Health, self care, self management, care process, models for behavioural change support, HBM, HPM, vital signs. Pulse, breath, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, temperature Expectancy-value theory.Transtheoretical model. Short motivational interview. Health literacy. Pain. Therapeutic Education

Assessment methods

Oral exam

The evaluation will take into account completeness and correctness, use of scientific language and the presence of errors that, in clinical practice, could put the client in a situation of danger.

The assessment is given as follows:

Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical ability that only emerges with the teacher's help, expression in overall correct but poor language → 18-20;

Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical and linking ability that only emerges with the teacher's help, expression in correct language → 21-23;

Preparation on a wide number of topics covered in the course, analytical and linking ability that only emerges with the teacher's help, expression in correct language → 24-26;

Preparation on a wide number of topics covered in the course, analytical and linking ability, mastery of language → 27-29;

Essentially thorough preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make independent choices in critical analysis and connections, full mastery of specific terminology, and ability to argue and self-reflect →30-30L
