Learning outcomes
Students will understand the fundamental aspects of health literacy as a strategy for health promotion. They will acquire skills to help citizens/patients acquire and maintain the skills and behaviors necessary for optimal management of life with illness. They will be able to help patients and their families understand their illness and treatment, and collaborate with other professionals in a multiprofessional and interdisciplinary manner to improve their quality of life. Knowledge will be focused on deepening the four stages of therapeutic education, both individual and group, learning effective communication method to support educational interventions, as well as implementing training strategies for the development of information tools to support the care relationship between nurses and patients
