Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will have learned about the main needs of neurological patients and the specific needs related to certain neurological conditions. Students will also learn about the specific characteristics and role of nurses in the management of neurological patients and will be able to plan nursing care for people with neurological conditions, including caregivers and families.
Course contents
General section:
- approach to clinical neurology
- neurological examination and nomenclature of the main neurological disorders
- diagnostic and therapeutic examinations and nursing care (spinal tap, evoked potentials)

Assessment methods
The assessment of the knowledge acquired by the student is based on a written test.
Students with learning disorders and temporary or permanent disabilities are invited to contact the dedicated office (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/it/per-studenti) as soon as possible so that appropriate compensatory measures can be agreed upon. The request must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the teacher, who will assess the appropriateness of the measures, taking into account the teaching objectives.
