Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have learned the neurophysiological bases of the sleep-wake cycle and circadian rhythms, understanding how these impact the psycho-physiology of our body and the quality of life. The student will also know the main sleep-related pathologies and current treatment strategies.

This course will cover the following topics:
- Biological rhythms
- Sleep-wake cycle
- The study of sleep
- Sleep as a function of age and gender
- Autonomic physiology of sleep
- Main sleep disorders and their treatment
