Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student will have knowledge of the technologies that constitute the existing built heritage, being able to distinguish them and recognize the related problems. The student will therefore have knowledge of transformation, construction, maintenance, recovery and management techniques, with particular attention to performance design and social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Teaching methods

The course is based on the analysis of case studies relating to intervention practices on built heritage in Italy. The case studies are selected based on their construction technology. One of these case studies will be the subject of a more in-depth analysis.
