Learning outcomes

The student acquires the ability to apply optimization in digital radiology, image analysis, manage workflows in RIS, HIS, and PACS, correct IT errors, and manage the image storage flow.

  • Role of the system administrator in medical imaging: functions, skills, and responsibilities

  • Health Technology Assessment (HTA): principles, objectives, tools, and processes for evaluating health technologies

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medical imaging: applications, ethical and managerial challenges

  • Security of IT systems in healthcare: GDPR regulations, best practices, and incident management

Assessment methods

Oral Exam
The purpose of the oral exam is to assess the student's ability to apply their knowledge and to establish logical-deductive connections in a coherent and autonomous manner.

Final grade criteria:

  • 18–19: Knowledge limited to a very small number of topics covered in the course; analytical skills emerge only with the instructor’s help; overall correct use of language.

  • 20–24: Knowledge limited to a few course topics; autonomous analytical ability only on purely procedural issues; correct use of language.

  • 25–29: Broad knowledge of many topics covered in the course; ability to carry out independent critical analysis; appropriate use of subject-specific terminology.

  • 30–30 with honors: Nearly comprehensive knowledge of all course topics; independent ability to carry out critical analysis and make connections between concepts; full command of technical language; well-developed argumentative and self-reflective skills.
