91066 - MRI Equipment (RN)

Academic Year 2025/2026

  • Teaching Mode: In-person learning (entirely or partially)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Imaging and Radiotherapy techniques (cod. 6063)

Learning outcomes

The student acquires knowledge about components of an MRI system; learn adoption of safety measures; understands basic and advanced sequences;  acquires competences about study coils, gradients, and image quality. He/she is able to perform quality control on MRI machines.

Teaching methods

Direct lessons with slide projection.
Examples and exercises on the blackboard.

Students with learning disabilities or temporary or permanent disabilities are invited to contact the dedicated office

as soon as possible in order to agree on the appropriate compensatory measures.

The request must be submitted in advance (at least 15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the suitability of the measures in relation to the course learning objectives.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods Final knowledge test , through a oral examination about the main topics covered during the lessons.
