Learning outcomes

The course aims at giving students the opportunity to acquire the basics and foundations of private law applied to contracts, with special attention to business law.

Only attending students are eligible for a simplified exam format, which will be explained during class. A student is considered “attending” if they are present from the first to the last lesson (except for justified absences) and actively participate in the activities of the course, including those outside regular class hours, such as seminars. For this purpose, the designation of “attending student” is exceptional and is granted solely at the professor’s discretion.

The use of mobile phones during class is strictly prohibited.

 

Teaching methods

The teaching method aims to promote learning through an exposition of the legal institutions that emphasizes their inherent logical and systematic interconnections. Of particular importance is also the practical case approach, which serves as the concluding phase of the analysis.

Assessment methods

The exam consists in an interview with the appointed commission on the topics included in the programme. The assessment will take into account the knowledge of the relevant institutional framework and to single out connections between the relevant topics, as well as the clarity of presentation and critical thinking.

Classes are held on annual basis and, therefore, students which obtain the certificate of attendance in the current academic year can take the exam only from May onword.

Registration for the final exam can be made through the application Almaesami (https://almaesami.unibo.it/almaesami/welcome.htm ).

 

By way of example, the following criteria will be used to assess the final mark (that will be out of 30/30):

- sufficient or barely sufficient knowledge on the programme, limited reasoning ability, some difficulties in using technical and legal language → 18-21/30;

- fairly good knowledge of the programme, adequate critical reasoning ability, sound use of technical and legal language → 22-25/30;

- comprehensive knowledge of the programme, notable reasoning ability, good command of technical and legal language → 26-29/30;

- extensive knowledge of the programme, very good reasoning ability, and ability to fully master technical-legal language → 30-30L/30.

N.B .: only ONE possibility of refusing the vote is allowed (Article 16.5 of the University Didactic Regulations) exam will take place exclusively in oral form.

 

 

Teaching tools

Students which need compensatory tools for reasons of disability or Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) will communicate to the teacher their needs so as to be directed to the dedicated person and arrange on the adoption of the most appropriate measures.

Erasmus students can ask to the Professor adjustment of the program according their learning agreement.
