93021 - Laboratory and Excavation (2) (LM)

Academic Year 2025/2026

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Archaeology and Cultures of the Ancient World (cod. 6702)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the excavation and laboratory activities, students are familiar with the characteristics of the classification and design of materials, learn the tools for the documentation, archiving and computer management of archaeological data, and know how to orientate themselves in the analysis and classification of palaeobotanical and archaeozoological finds. They are able to approach the cataloguing of archaeological material with methodological rigour and use the most up-to-date methods of systematisation, as well as to critically increase their skills by consulting scientific literature.
