Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, students will acquire basic methodological knowlege useful to manage the research project the student is going to develop.
Course contents
Conducting Surveys with Qualtrics
How to create and prepare a database in Spss
How to write the results in a scientific paper (Statistical analyses applied to the development of the research project: (Descriptives, frequencies, correlations, t-test and ANOVA, Linear regressions)
Moderator and Mediator analyses: How to write and describe the results
The use of the Process Macro for Spss
Readings/Bibliography
Scientific articles used as examples of the topics covered will be presented and made available to students during the course
Teaching methods
Typically, the lessons are dedicated to 1) explaining the topic covered using a PowerPoint presentation and through class discussion, and 2) conducting exercises on the topic discussed, under the supervision of the professor. The exercises will be conducted with Spss and/or with Qualtrics and/or with Process Macro for Spss.
In consideration of the type of activity and the didactic methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires the preventive participation of all students to moduli 1 e 2 di formazione sulla sicurezza nei luoghi di studio, [https://elearning-sicurezza.unibo.it/] e-learning mode.
Assessment methods
During the course, students have to create a survey, collect data and create a dataset using Qualtrics. This activity allows you to acquire up to 10 points
Based on the data collected, students must develop and evaluate a mediation and/or moderation hypothesis. This activity allows you to acquire up to 10 points.
At the end of the course, students must solve a case and write up the results (simulating a scientific article) using Spss and Process Macro for Spss. This activity allows you to acquire up to 10 points
The final grade is the sum of the three assessments (max. 30/30).
