Learning outcomes
By the end of the training activity students wiil know how to design research and intervention projects
Course contents
The course will allow students to learn the principles of project design. Projects will be considered with a specific focus on:
- Leading the reader to understand “Why Bother” (with the project)?
- Defining the topic of the project
- Summarizing the state-of-art
- Planning the project and its implementation (e.g., plan of activities, Gantt)
- Building relationships with other partners
Special attention will be devoted to projects related to the two pillars of the master's degree (i.e., well-being across the lifespan and social inclusivity). In this regard, practical examples of interventions will be shown, with a specific focus on:
- methodological issues in planning a psychotherapy trial;
- interventions aimed at improving intergroup relations
- reserach and interventions on disadvantaged group
Readings/Bibliography
References will be provided during the course and will be related to the specific topics addressed in each session
Teaching methods
In addition to brief lectures, teaching methods will be focused mainly on small groups' work and guided discussions related to the course contents.
Assessment methods
Assigned collective tasks i.e. presentation of a project inspired by the reading of financially supported
The assessent of the course relies on a "Pass" or "Not Pass" evaluation. By no means grades are attributed to students
