Learning outcomes
The student acquires the tools of philological, ethno-philological, and ecdotic analysis applied to the investigation of texts. He is introduced to a deeper knowledge of the system of literary genres, through specific analysis, translations and critical comments of some of the main works of the medieval Romance tradition, with specific reference to the Gallo-Romance and Italo-Romance area (French and Occitan, Italian). As for the skills to be acquired, the course also aims to develop various methodologies related to the principles of comparative philology (stylistic, textual and ethno-textual comparison).
