Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be familiar with the general principles of pathophysiology as they relate to the interpretation of future clinical activity. In particular, knowledge of these principles will enable a complete understanding of the elements underlying the altered functioning of organs and systems, which give rise to both semiological and clinical aspects. Students will also be able to correctly approach patients from a clinical standpoint with regard to physical objectivity, with the ability to independently evaluate different systems and in relation to their knowledge of clinical investigation procedures. The integration of knowledge of clinical pathophysiology and semeiotics enables students to understand and address the basic principles of diseases in a manner that prepares them for the future development of the course of study.
