Learning outcomes

Student learns technical procedures in operating room, radiation protection standards, his rule in multidisciplinary team and hygiene rules.

Course contents

Description of operating room setting. Used x-ray equipment.

Radiation protection.

Risk management in operating room.

Description of general, orthopetic and urological surgery interventions.

Management of Urgencies and emergencies in operating room, with mention of damage control techniques

Management patients with particular infection problems in operating room.

Lessons will take place during the second semester (from January to April).

Teaching material provided by the teacher.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons with support of power point slides and video projections

Single cases of surgical procedures in operating room will be analized during the classes.

Assessment methods

Oral examination concerning the subjects treated in the course.

The final evaluation will be expressed in 30 point scale.

Teaching tools

Power Point slides.
